With the continuing growth of body worn and in car video, law enforcement agencies nationwide are seeing an increased public demand for officers’ generated video through public disclosure requests. How do agency personnel with little-to-no knowledge of video technology ensure sensitive information is not released to the general public?
LER strives to provide a basic understanding of video editing software as it applies to redacting sensitive information in videos generated by Law Enforcement agencies. We will consult with you to determine your requirements for Public Disclosure and tailor our classes to your personnel, including hands-on experience and hardware/software recommendations. Why outsource your footage to an outside company when we can teach your personnel how to perform the redactions themselves?
The Cost of Redacting comes down to simple economics. What costs more:
The goal of LER isn’t to treat the symptoms (creation of extra apparatuses to deal with the new redacting demands), it’s to help your agency solve the demands in a way that is cost effective and efficient with the framework you already have in place!
